Folders & Forms Information Bar

The information bar is a great tool that can be used to give instant information about either the folder of the form you are looking at.

The information bar is a great tool that can be used to give instant information about either the folder of the form you are looking at. The information bar is also used to access the folder to reveal all forms within, turn on/off, share or move. Below you will see both information bars for Folders and Forms and the subtle differences between the two and how useful they can be.

Overview

The information bar can be great for quick referencing which users have access to which folders and forms, how many submissions of a specific for you have or for just quickly public sharing the form.

Making the Information bar selectable to access your folder/forms made so much sense with new touchscreen computers, allowing users to touch what they want to see just made things simple.

Folders Information Bar

1. Folder Icon - Hovering over this allows you to select one or multiple folders. Selecting folders will make options appear at the bottom of the page to delete

2. Folder Name - This is the name you have provided to the folder. The name can be changed by clicking the 3 dots icon (Number 6) and selecting 'Rename'

3. Folder Contents - Shows you how many forms are in the folder and how many people have access to the folder.

4. On/Off Switch - Enables you to turn the folder on and off quickly allowing you to switch quickly or withdraw access to the forms within.

5. Share - Share will appear when you hover over the information bar. Selecting share will allow you to share a folder with other Users or Teams.

6. Menu - The 3 dot icon opens up the menu so you can change the style of the folder, move the folder to trash or rename the folder.

7. The Information Bar - The whole rectangle spanning the page is the information bar for the folder. selecting the bar anywhere around number 9 will allow you access to your forms within.

8. Users Shared With - Here you will see any users who have access to the folder. You can hover to see their permissions or you can select and simply delete to remove access to the folder.

9. Share - Again a share options allowing you to quickly add users or teams to the folder.

Form Information Bar

1. Form Preview - Hovering over this allows you to select one or multiple forms. Selecting forms will make options appear at the bottom of the page allowing you to delete, copy or move the form.

2. Form Name - This is the name you have provided to the Form. The name can be changed by clicking the 3 dots icon (Number 7) and selecting 'Rename'

3. Form Contents - Shows you which folder the form is in and how many submissions have been completed in that specific form.

4. On/Off Switch - Enables you to turn the form on and off quickly allowing you to switch quickly between forms or withdraw access to the specific form.

5. Share - Share will appear when you hover over the information bar. Selecting share on a form will give 2 options, to share with user or team or to share publicly. to find out more info on sharing publicly look at our support docs here. Share with Team/User / Share Publicly

6. Edit Form - The pencil icon allows you to access to your form on the form builder page to edit/amend.

7. Menu - The 3 dot icon opens up the menu so you to move the form to trash or rename the form.
